planning 2
On the second day of planning, students tend to want to create just two more thumbnails and then move on. I typically tell them they need to spend a whole class period on this and draw as many thumbnail sketches as they can.

Critique
You'll need to print two copies of the Critique Form for each student participating in Critique if you choose to follow this lesson. You can undoubtedly hold critique however you'd like, but this critique allows for the students to be self-paced, it provides a review of interpretation that was learned in Unit 18, and is not as stressful for students who don't like to share their work in front of class.
That being said, even if you follow this lesson, there are several different ways to handle the actual logistics of students putting their work up for critique and choosing an artwork to provide feedback on. I have mine hang theirs on a wall, but if you don't have room for that, they could paperclip them to their critique forms and put them in a basket. You could also set up a shared Google Slide Presentation for students to add their work to if you'd like to keep things digital. Regardless, make sure all the slides give instructions based on the procedure you choose.
